Mount Vernon City School District is a proud partner of Discovery Education, the worldwide ed tech leader whose state-of-the-art digital platform supports learning wherever it takes place.  MVCSD’s longstanding partnership with Discovery Education supports the district’s efforts to bring high-quality, real-world, STEM learning experiences into classrooms districtwide.  

The award-winning Discovery Education services available to educators and students across MVCSD include the Discovery Education platform, STEM Connect, and Science Tech book. Designed to support the Next Generation Science Standards, Science Tech book includes rich, standards-aligned content such as video, audio, text, interactives with hands-on activities, and virtual labs that help educators differentiate instruction and provide rich, engaging learning experiences for students. To ensure the district maximizes the return on investment in this partnership, MVCSD educators receive ongoing professional learning and enjoy access to the Discovery Educator Network (DEN), which helps educators use the company’s suite of resources to support the success of all learners.
